Early Knock-Out (Best Case)
At any monthly observation, if the stock closes at or above 105.0% of strike, the note is called early. You receive full principal + accumulated 15.9% p.a. coupon.
Return: Principal + 15.9% p.a. (pro-rated to KO date)
Held to Maturity — No Knock-In
The stock never breaches 70.0% of strike during the tenor, and never triggers KO. At maturity, you receive full principal + 15.9% p.a. coupon.
Return: Principal + 15.9% p.a. coupon
Knock-In Triggered (Worst Case)
The stock drops below 70.0% of strike at any point during the tenor, triggering knock-in. At maturity, if the stock is still below 80.0% of strike, you receive shares (or cash equivalent) at the depressed price. Capital loss possible.
Return: Potential capital loss — depends on final stock price

As the KO level steps down each month, it becomes easier for the note to knock out and return your principal + coupon.
